Specialized Surveys component will provide effort and catch estimates from a variety of fishery activities not canvassed by other means. Specialized Recreational Fishery Surveys will initially assess cast net, bait, and dive boat fisheries. The module will also allow flexibility to add surveys needed for emerging fisheries. As FMPs are developed, they often identify data needs requiring the development of specialized surveys.
